New York's Climate Leadership and Protection Act -- How Farms can Help fight Climate Change

Today we present a portion of a forum on implementing New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act

The forum focused on how the protection and management of New York’s natural resources can help reach the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions statewide by 2050.

It was produced at Columbia University’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law and presented via Zoom on January 14.

The forum focused on two areas:

How protecting nature helps with climate change mitigation and adaptation
and
How New York farms can help fight climate change through techniques including carbon sequestration and anaerobic digestors for organic waste.
